De La Salle Araneta University (formerly: Gregorio Araneta University), a renowned institution specializing in agriculture and veterinary medicine, offers a diverse range of college courses and facilities such as a track and field oval. As a Grade 10 student, I've had the opportunity to experience the academic environment firsthand. While the university demonstrates several strengths, there are areas that require attention. First and foremost, the university's focus on agriculture and veterinary medicine is commendable. The institution's commitment to these specialized fields is evident in the quality of education and resources provided. The faculty members possess extensive knowledge and expertise, nurturing students with a strong foundation in their respective disciplines. The presence of various college courses allows students to explore different academic paths. This diversity is valuable, as it broadens students' horizons and fosters a well-rounded education. It is encouraging to see the university's dedication to offering a comprehensive range of programs. On the downside, one aspect that could be improved is the affordability of certain amenities, particularly the cafeteria food. Comparatively, the prices are higher than those of nearby establishments outside the campus. While external options may not be accessible due to campus restrictions, it would be beneficial for the university to review its pricing structure, ensuring that students have affordable dining options within the premises. Another consideration is the tuition fees, which are understandably higher due to the institution's affiliation with the La Salle network. However, it is crucial for the university to maintain a balance between offering quality education and ensuring it remains accessible to a wider range of students. Continual efforts to optimize the value-for-money aspect of the education provided would greatly benefit both current and prospective students. Lastly, although I do not utilize the track and field oval personally, its presence is undoubtedly an asset to the university. It contributes to the overall campus ambiance and supports students interested in athletic pursuits. Ensuring its proper maintenance and availability would enhance the recreational experience for those who utilize this facility. In conclusion, De La Salle Araneta University is a promising institution, particularly in the fields of agriculture and veterinary medicine. The diverse range of college courses and the presence of a track and field oval demonstrate the university's commitment to holistic development. However, attention should be given to the affordability of certain amenities and the accessibility of education to a wider range of students. With ongoing improvements, the university has the potential to excel further and provide an even more enriching experience for its student body.

They wouldn't let an alumni without alumni ID. Another cost to be shouldered by an old graduate. No gratitude. I won't be a loss to them, so they are and the school itself. Good riddance.

To international students (especially disabled ones) thinking of applying for admissions to any program offered by De La Salle Araneta University, especially to their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. When I inquired about admissions to the DVM program, this is what John Dalangin, an admissions officer of the Office of Student Admissions, said in broken English (NOTE: There are underline portions here to hide sensitive information): "we only get the transcript of the last school attended since it is assumed that in __________ you submitted your ________ transcript, thus reflecting your units from ________, while your entry credentials from ______ was your transcript from _______ therefore, we are assuming that your _______ transcript contains all the information from the previous two schools either as part of the transcript itself or probably as attachment from the end of the last university, as this is the practice of the Philippine schools." In other words, he and DLSAU disregard the grades and GPA that you earned from previous institutions, and only consider the grades and GPA from the last school that you attended. For Mr. Dalangin to say that all Philippine schools conduct this kind of practice is wrong. There are some schools that have holistic admissions that go beyond the GPA (or GWA), and look at other application materials such as the essay. Furthermore, when I asked him if an applicant falls short of the minimum GPA requirement, Mr. Dalangin responded with something like this: If your GPA falls short of the minimum, then you should consider looking into other schools that have lower admissions standards." Mr. Dalangin and DLSAU, you respond to questions from international applicants as if you are superior, and that your CVM (College of Veterinary Medicine) is #1 in the Philippines. Well Mr. Dalangin, DLSAU's CVM is not #1, nor is it ranked among the top in the Philippines.

The system is bad, they don't answer their emails, they don't post enough information about the enrollment! How are the kids supposed to know what are they going to do if the school keeps on doing this?

I hope it upgrades the facilities into a modern vibe, for example the bathrooms in the college building could use some improvement especially with the water, flush and cleanliness. Larger chairs for college students :)
